Ke$ha denied permission to perform in MalaysiaAmerican pop star Ke$ha has been forced to cancel a concert in Malaysia tonight (October 26) as Malaysian authorities have refused to grant her permission to perform. A statement from Malaysia's Ministry of Communications and Multimedia said that the refusal was due to Ke$ha’s stage act touching on “religious sensitivities and cultural values of Malaysians.” The ‘Tik Tok’ singer’s concert promoter, Livescape, also issued a statement asserting that the scheduled show had been cancelled at the “11th hour” despite Ke$ha’s willingness to alter the show to suit Malaysian culture. The 26-year-old star took to Twitter to explain the situation to her fans. Ke$ha typed: “To be clear. I did NOT cancel. I was not allowed to play. And then I was going to play anyways and was threatened with imprisonment.” Ke$ha’s ‘Warrior’ tour will continue on November 12 in Tokyo.
