X Factor hopeful Tamera Foster has revealed that One Direction star Niall Horan asked for her phone number - and it seems she was more than happy to oblige.

The two singers met up backstage at the X Factor recently when the boyband performed live on the show.

It appears Foster and Horan hit it off, with the talent show contestant telling the Mirror that they have continued to speak to each other since meeting.

She said: "I spent most of my time [at the show] with Niall. He's really fun and very immature. I get really hyper before I sing, so I was practically bouncing off the walls. I was singing, 'Yeah, I'm ready, I'm ready,' and Niall started singing, 'I'm ready, I'm ready' along with me. He asked for my number and we've been talking."

Foster added: "He's the most famous person in my phone after Nicole Scherzinger. I hope he fancies me - he's cool."

The singer meanwhile is one of the few remaining contestants on this year's UK X Factor, with the likes of Rough Copy and Luke Friend providing competition.

The show is due to conclude in mid-December.
