Naughty Boy didn't have time to perfect song for Britney Spears' album: 'It was a personal decision'

Producer Naughty Boy has revealed that although he was working on music for Britney Spears' new album, 'Britney Jean', his offerings didn't make the final tracklisting.

He confessed to Digital Spy that the song he created for the record was passed up, but he didn't feel as though he had enough time to perfect the track so wasn't too bothered by the decision:

"I would have done it, but the quality would have suffered, as in I didn't have the time. I want to do a Britney track that's remembered. I don't want to be part of an album that's not really... It was a personal decision more than anything."

Naughty Boy added that despite missing out on the chance this time around, he would love another opportunity: "But I'd love to work with Britney, Katy Perry or Ellie Goulding. I love pop music."

When asked if he plans to give the song to a different artist, he explained that there's a possibility it could work for someone else: "It's a song I wrote with Emeli [Sandé], so who knows? It could be."
