One Direction star wins court case against paparazzi

Heartthrob Harry Styles has won a court order against the paparazzi who have been following him around and loitering outside of his home unlawfully.

The 'Best Song Ever' hitmaker has been plagued by the persistent photographers since his rise to international fame and he asked the high court to prevent them from doing so, which has been successful as Styles has now won the case.

Mrs Justice Nicola Davies has ordered unnamed paparazzi to stop hanging around outside of his residence, pursuing him in moving vehicles, and placing him under tabloid surveillance. While Styles was unable to attend this morning's (December 16) hearing, his lawyer David Sherborne told the court:

"This is not a privacy injunction. Mr Styles is not trying to prevent fans approaching him in the street and taking photos. He remains happy to do that, as he always has. Rather, it is the method or tactics which have been used by a certain type of photographer."

Styles' injunction will remain intact until the week beginning January 13, when it will be taken back to court.
