'X Factor' winner Sam Bailey hopes paparazzi will 'respect' her private life

Newly crowned 'X Factor' winner Sam Bailey has admitted that while she's excited about her new career path, she is also concerned about the potential lack of privacy she might get from photographers and the press.

Speaking to Sky News about being propelled into the public eye from the popular TV vocal talent show, Bailey explained that she doesn't feel as famous as, say, One Direction, but she has noticed a peak of attention that she hopes won't spiral out of control:

"I don't feel famous like that... That's Harry Styles for crying out loud. I've just come out of a competition where I've been in a bubble so I can't see it like that yet… but I'll get advice, I'll be OK."

"With regards to the intrusion side of it, hopefully they'll have respect for me - not interfering with my private life. It goes hand-in-hand, you have to make these sacrifices, but I'd give autographs, I don’t mind giving people the time of day."

Earlier this week, Bailey told the media that she isn't fazed by criticism as her background as a prison officer has taught her how to deal with tough situations well.
