Bon Jovi have topped a list of the highest grossing tours of the year.

The US rock act took in a total of $259.5m over the past twelve months as they played 102 shows.

According to data compiled by Pollstar, this means that they are the highest grossing touring act in the world in 2013.

Second on the list is Beyoncé with a gross total of $188.6m and third is P!nk with $170.6m.

Other highly ranking names include Justin Bieber ($169m), Bruce Springsteen ($145.4m) and Rihanna ($141.9m).

Next year's highest grossing tour meanwhile looks set to be One Direction's Where We Are world stadium jaunt, which is expected to take in at least $314.6 million.
