Matt Cardle posts emotional message: 'I'm getting myself better'

Former 'X Factor' winner Matt Cardle took to his official Twitter page last night (December 31) and addressed his current situation, telling fans that he is taking time out to 'get better'.

The star is rumoured to be undergoing rehab treatment and while he didn't confirm the reports, he shared an emotional handwritten message (pictured below) of gratitude for the support his followers have shown him and explained that he's taking positive steps:

"I want to thank my fans for all your lovely messages of support. I'm getting myself better... I want to be ready to give it 110 per cent on tour next year. I love you all and will see you the other side."

Back in October, Cardle spoke exclusively to Pressparty about his latest album, entitled 'Porcelain', and confessed that it was a challenge to create because he was so heavily involved in every part of making it:

"I think just actually physically recording the album - it's been really tough at times. Because I do most of the instruments, it's quite full on. Drums, bass and guitar. It's time-consuming as well."
