Madonna cries at 'It's A Wonderful Life'

Madonna grew up wishing beloved actor James Stewart was her real father because she adored him in 'It's A Wonderful Life.

The pop superstar admits that whenver she watches the movie it takes her back to her childhood.

The icon said: "I love the message of it; I think it's so beautiful. I grew up wishing that Jimmy Stewart was my father. The story of wanting it all and having it all and then losing it all and then realising what's important, it's like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz - 'There's no place like home'.

"It's kind of corny and cliché but, to me, it's a classic story that stands the test of time. I love it. I cry every time I see it."

The star has previously revealed that Christmas Day is the only day of the year that she takes a break from her gruelling exercise regime.

Madonna confirms release dates of new music and her new single's title

Interscope Records has confirmed that the Queen of Pop will release her long-awaited new album in March 2012.

Madonna, who has now signed a 3-record deal with the prestigious label, is set to unveil her full-length offering in the spring and will treat fans to her brand new single - entitled 'Gimme All Your Luvin' - during the last week of January.

In addition to this exciting news, the 'Like A Prayer' icon has also revealed that she will perform during the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show on February 5, 2012.

The as-of-yet untitled album will be Madonna's first in 5 years and it has already been finished, according to an official press release from Interscope.

Madonna confirmed to perform at the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show

Pop icon Madonna has been confirmed to perform during halftime at the Superbowl XLVI.

NBC made the exclusive announcement via the NBA on last night's (December 4) Sunday Night Football match between the Detroit Lions and the New Orleans Saints, and explained that she will take the stage on February 5, 2012 at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The superstar has been in the studio working on her highly anticipated forthcoming album and was recently faced with the unfortunate leak of one of her unfinished tracks, 'Give Me All Your Love'. She spoke publicly about the issue and said: "my true fans wouldn't do this."

Madonna to appear on The Graham Norton Show early next year

Madonna will be joining Graham Norton on his chat show on January 13.

The 53-year-old icon will be appearing alongside actors Andrea Riseborough and James D'Arcy, who both appear W.E., Madonna's second directorial outing.

Norton has revealed how excited he is to have her joining him in the studio:

"I couldn't be more excited! This is my real Christmas present. I may have to retire, but that's not a promise!"

W.E. is scheduled to be released on January 20 so make sure you tune in to BBC One on January 13 to see the Irish comedian interview one of the world's biggest stars.
