Madonna has updated fans on the progress of her Avicii sessions.

The Queen of Pop recently revealed that she was working with the Swedish hitmaker in the studio on new tunes.

She has now taken to Instagram to post a couple of snaps from their meet-ups, saying that it is creating "great music".

Madonna wrote: "The End of a long week with Viking Leader AKA DJ Virgo AKA Avicii! So many great songs! #icantwait #revolution."

She then added: "My Viking Harem! Great Music Great Vibes! We were grinding on that. Wood!"

Madonna's last studio album meanwhile came in the shape of 2012's 'MDNA'.

It spawned tracks such as 'Girl Gone Wild' and 'Turn Up the Radio', with the record reaching No.1 across the globe.
