Madonna has uploaded a photo of herself in a recording studio with Natalia Kills.

The US icon, whose last album came in the shape of 2012's 'MDNA', put a photo of the duo working together on Instagram.

The picture's caption reads: "Working the midnight shift with Natalia Kills. 2 girls on a couch..........don"t it taste like Holy Water?#artforfreedom #rebelheart #revolutionoflove."

The session follows a collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii, which Madonna said produced "so many great songs".

She wrote in March: "The End of a long week with Viking Leader AKA DJ Virgo AKA Avicii! So many great songs! #icantwait #revolution."

Madonna's last album meanwhile spawned tracks like 'Girl Gone Wild' and 'Turn Up the Radio', with the record reaching No.1 across the globe.
