Madonna will perform at this year's Grammys.

The singer confirmed online today (January 13) that she will be in attendance at the February 8 event.

She posted an image of the famous Grammy award mocked up to represent her 'Rebel Heart' artwork.

Madonna posted: "Rebel Hearts see you Feb 8th @TheGRAMMYs #GRAMMY's #rebelheart."

It was unclear if this meant the US star would be performing at the ceremony, but her manager Guy Oseary has since confirmed to Billboard that she will.

She later uploaded more images on Twitter, including a shot of the Grammy award motif in the middle of a splatter of blood.

'Rebel Heart' is the name of Madonna's upcoming album, which will be released on March 9.

Confirmation of the record was released early after a number of new demos were leaked online late last year.
