Madonna reckons Kanye West is the "black" version of herself.

Both acts are relatively outspoken and are keen too push boundaries.

Speaking to the New York Daily News, Madonna said that this desire to think outside the box makes them hugely similar.

She said: "Kanye is the black Madonna.

"We know, and recognise, that we have that in common. We’re comrades in the envelope-pushing genre.”

Madonna meanwhile added in the same interview that she feels like a "survivor" in the music business, saying:

"I see that many of my peers and friends and people I collaborated with are no longer with us."

The Queen of Pop released her new album 'Rebel Heart' today (March 9) in the UK.
