Madonna on her inexhaustible creativity: 'I'm like Picasso'

The Queen of Pop has likened her creativity to that of artist Picasso in a new interview with The Canadian Press.

The 'Ghosttown' sensation admitted that she is constantly inspired to create, write and record, and has a passion for life that won't subside:

"I like to compare myself to other kinds of artists like Picasso. He kept painting and painting until the day he died. Why? Because I guess he felt inspired to do so. Life inspired him, so he had to keep expressing himself, and that's how I feel."

Madonna went onto add that she doesn't believe there's an 'expiration date' on creativity and as long as we have stories to tell and things to say, we will find ways to express ourselves: "I don't think there's a time, a date, an expiration date for being creative. I think you go until you don't have any more to say."

The superstar is due to hit the road this fall for her Rebel Heart tour and the first date on the jaunt will take place on September 9 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. She will then perform shows across America before heading over to mainland Europe and the United Kingdom.
