The son of Madonna and her ex-husband Guy Ritchie, 15-year-old Rocco, has been ordered to return home to New York after refusing to board a flight back from London, where he has been spending time with his filmmaker father. 

Madonna and Ritchie divorced in 2008 after almost eight years of marriage and Ritchie's lawyer, Eric Buckley, this week argued that the boy wanted to spend the holidays with his father, and should be allowed to do so: "He has expressed very clearly that he does not want to return to New York." 

Justice Deborah Kaplan eventually ruled in the Queen of Pop's favour, but suggested that young Rocco should discuss his living preferences with both parents at some point in the near future. The judge said: "I'm granting you all the relief you have requested. I'm directing the child to be returned to New York. If he wants to stay with his father, he must return to his mother (first)."
