The Queen of Pop addressed the Boy Scouts of America's anti-gay agenda at the 2013 GLAAD Awards over the weekend.

The organisation's policy has been in the press a lot over the past few weeks after Canadian songstress Carly Rae Jepsen and rockers Train both pulled out of the annual Boy Scouts Jamboree festival because of its ban on gay members.

Wearing a replica of one of the Boy Scouts' uniforms, Madonna addressed the GLAAD Media Awards audience and said: "I can build a fire. I know how to pitch a tent. I can rescue kittens from trees. Most importantly, I know how to scout for boys. I think they should change their stupid rules."

Continuing her speech about the lack of equality in today's society, the 'Like A Prayer' icon added: "When I think about young kids in America who are being bullied and tortured, who are taking their own lives because they feel alone and judged, outcast and misunderstood, I want to sit down and cry a river of tears."

"It's an atrocity to me, I don't accept it. I don't know about you, but I can't take this (expletive) anymore. That is why I want to start a revolution. It's 2013 people. We live in America, land of the free and home of the brave? That's a question, not a statement."
