'Like A Prayer' icon Madonna has expressed a strong interest to work with French electro-duo Daft Punk. 

During a new Reddit 'Ask Me Anything' session, the superstar explained that she loves their sound and wants to collaborate with them, but is waiting for them to get back to her as she has already reached out about teaming up:

"I would love to work with Daft Punk. Just waiting for them to return my call."

Along with discussing potential new music, which she admitted is something she hopes to return to in the near future as her "creative juices are flowing", Madonna was asked why her '03 record, 'American Life', didn't do so well commercially and addded:

"Because I dealt with a lot of controversial issues in it. I criticized american politics, the entertainment business in Hollywood. I was in an angry mood when I was making it. Maybe that came across. But I was in an angry mood when I made my last album [2012's 'MDNA'] too. (sic)"
