Mariah Carey set to lead the MACY's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Superstar Mariah Carey will kick off this year's MACY's Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 26.

She will perform live in New York City for the upcoming 89th annual parade and other acts confirmed for the festive annual event include songstress Jordin Sparks, Panic! At the Disco, Train, Trey Songz, Daughtry, Jake Owen, Pat Benatar, Jennifer Nettles and Questlove.

Amy Kule, executive producer of the MACY's Thanksgiving Day Parade, issued a statement on the exciting news: "The 89th edition of MACY's famed holiday procession promises to deliver an unrivalled spectacle of magic for millions of spectators lining the streets of New York City and millions more watching it unfold in homes across the nation."

As previously reported, Carey is releasing a Christmas picture book based on her 1994 festive hit single, 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' and she told People magazine that it's a dream come true: "I am so proud of the song's impact as it continues to create memories for fans each year. I am thrilled to be able to bring the story of the song to new generations of families with the picture book."
