'Obsessed' sensation Mariah Carey has given fans a sneak peek at her upcoming documentary series entitled 'Mariah's World'.

The E! Entertainment series, which will feature eight one-hour episodes, is set to focus on Carey's preparation for her Sweet Fantasy tour while also planning her wedding to fiancé James Packer. 

In the new clip, which was unveiled this week, Carey can be heard saying: "Forget the image, forget the rumours. I owe this to the fans."

Billboard reported that Carey told press at the annual GLAAD Media Awards that she was honoured to have been chosen to receive the GLAAD Ally Award because it means something: "Some awards are about statistics and things like that, and some are about like something a little more real. Do you know what I mean? This feels like one of those moments, so I think it's great."
