Singer Mariah Carey has revealed that she is itching to get back into the recording studio. 

In a new trailer for an upcoming episode of 'Mariah's World', she tells her make-up artist that she is most fulfilled when she's in the studio "creating" something:

"If I have any extra time, well, obviously I'll spend it with Roc and Roe, but when they're sleeping I need to be in the studio. I feel like a different person when I'm not in the studio. Performing is a whole different thing, but being in the studio is creating and that's what I love to do best."

She adds: "Songwriting is very healing for me. The studio and the experience of creating new music, it feels so much more like home to me than anywhere else."
