Mariah Carey opens up about her pregnancy

Mariah Carey has opened up about the difficulties she faced when she was pregnant with her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, who were born in April.

The 'Dream Lover' singer suffered from high blood pressure, preeclampsia and gestational diabetes during her pregnancy.

In an interview with the TV show 20/20, she said that she didn't know how it would effect her body:

"I don't think I understood the enormity and the magnitude of what pregnancy really does to your body; it's not just, 'Oh, you don't look pretty and you have a bump... ' I was carrying two babies. Unless somebody's been through it, it's difficult to understand what I went through because my pregnancy was very unique in terms of what happened to me".
