Earlier this week, vocal sensation Mariah Carey took a tumble on her new music video's set and injured herself quite badly.

Her husband, Nick Cannon, revealed that despite the press reporting that she had dislocated her shoulder, she also sustained a few other injuries including a cracked rib and chipped shoulder bone. He has now spoken to Extra about her recovery and confessed that she is handling the setbacks like a professional:

"She's such a trouper, she definitely took a big fall. She was on a marble surface, she was in this beautiful gown, but she couldn't really manoeuvre properly."

Referring to his wife's dislocated shoulder, Cannon added: "She went to reach out for Young Jeezy and she fell off this platform. She was like, 'Just pop it back in and keep shooting'."

She was shooting a remix video for '#Beautiful' when the accident happened and writing on her official Twitter page today (July 12), she told her fans that she is making the sling look good: "Thanks all for the well wishes <3 Still in a lot of pain - cracked rib, fractured shoulder, bruises everywhere, but the show must go on."
