Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk' returns to No. 1

Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars have reclaimed the top spot on the UK singles chart.

Enjoying its second non-consecutive week at No. 1, ‘Uptown Funk’ has now sold 187,000 copies and broken its own streaming record.

Ronson and Mars previously set a new mark for the most streams in one week with 2.34 million plays. The pair have now bettered their own benchmark this week as ‘Uptown Funk’ has been streamed 2.49 million times in the past seven days.

After one week as the nation’s Christmas No. 1, X Factor’s Ben Haenow and his winner’s single ‘Something I Need’ has now slipped to No. 2.

Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’ is a non-mover at No. 3, Taylor Swift’s ‘Blank Space’ is up three to No. 4, and ‘Up’ by Olly Murs and Demi Lovato is, despite its title, down one to No. 5.

Alesso’s ‘Heroes (We Could Be)’ is the only new entry to the final Top 40 of 2014. The DJ/producer’s track featuring Tove Lo has debuted at No. 6.
