Mark Ronson set to hold onto UK No.1

Mark Ronson is in pole position to spend another week at the top of the UK singles chart.

His Bruno Mars duet 'Uptown Funk' reached No.1 on Sunday (January 4) for what was its fourth non-consecutive week at the top.

The Official Charts Company have confirmed today (January 7) that the tune is No.1 on its midweek update.

It has shifted nearly 50,000 units so far this week, meaning that it is comfortably ahead of Philip George's No.2 'Wish You Were Mine', which has sales of nearly 24,000.

At No.3 on the midweek update is Tchami's new entry 'Promesses', whilst Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' follows at No.4.

The top five is rounded off by Olly Murs' latest effort 'Up'.

Tulisa's comeback single 'Living Without You' meanwhile is a new entry at No.23.
