Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk' reaches No.1 in US

Mark Ronson has bagged his first US No.1 single.

The musician and producer's hit track 'Uptown Funk' has displaced Taylor Swift's 'Blank Space' at the top of the Hot 100 list after weeks of trying.

The song, which features Bruno Mars, moved up one place from No.2 to end Swift's seven-week run at the top.

Mars meanwhile now has six US No.1 singles under his belt, with two of them coming as a feature.

Only nine men have more chart-topping singles in the US than Mars, including Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Sir Elton John.

Ronson's No.1 means that the consecutive 19-week run of females topping the US chart has ended.
