Mark Ronson felt like a 'brother' to Amy Winehouse

Mark Ronson says he had a brotherly bond with Amy Winehouse.

The producer worked with the late singer on her last album 'Back to Black'.

Speaking to Interview magazine, the Brit said that Winehouse - who died in 2011 as a result of alcohol poisoning aged 27 - felt like a sibling.

He said: "She wouldn't reach out to me so much when she was [despondent] because I was almost like a brother.

"When I met her, when we made the record together, she was super together, maybe the most together she'd ever been in her adult life because she was doing something great.

"I'd heard these stories, like, 'Oh, you're going to make a record with Amy Winehouse? Good luck.' Because a couple years before, she'd been drinking heavily. But I was like, 'What's everybody talking about? It's a dream working with her'."
