Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk' becomes UK's fifth top selling single

Mark Ronson's hit track 'Uptown Funk' is now the fifth best selling single in the UK of all time.

The musician's 2014 tune has broken through the two million sales barrier.

It now rests behind the likes of Band Aid's 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' and Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' in the list of the UK's top selling singles.

Ronson commented: "Thank you to Jason Iley, Alison Donald, Mark Terry and all my people at Columbia in the UK who have helped achieve this crazy milestone."

The top selling song in the UK so far is Elton John's 'Candle in the Wind'.

Band Aid and Queen follow at No.2 and No.3, with Pharrell Williams' 'Happy' at No.4.
