Mark Ronson is writing a ballet score

Mark Ronson, who is known for his impressive list of collaborations, is expanding his musical horizons and has confirmed that he is writing a score for a ballet.

The talented star has teamed up with choreographer Wayne McGregor for a new Royal Ballet project although no further details have yet been revealed.

W.E.N.N. reports that Ronson will work alongside songwriter Andrew Wyatt for 9 songs that will "focus on the Jungian theme of anima/animus and the theory of collective masculine and feminine unconscious".

Back in September 2011, Sir Paul McCartney announced that he had been working on a ballet named 'Ocean's Kingdom' and described the it as incredibly challenging. Ronson's project is due to debut in London this April.
