Music Break for once Break Dancer then Personal Trainer to the Stars

Allen Kerr shows how once you have a foot in the door, hard work and ability to get your musical career the exposure it needs.

Starting out in a break dancing troupe, Allen Kerr toured the UK performing in nightclubs, at parties, at Pineapple Studios and was asked to dance in various pop promos.

Writing

Meanwhile, Allen Kerr started singing and writing his own songs and had his break 15 years later after getting himself work as personal trainer to likes of singer David Gray, broadcaster Lisa Burke and investigative journalist Donal Macintyre amongst many others.

As he improved his vocals and songwriting, Allen Kerr soon started to get offers from independent artists and record labels and has worked with X factor finalist Andy Abrahams.  His first album “A Part Of Me”- out later this year - was drawn from his experiences over the last 15 years while involved in music and dance.

Eclectic

Allen Kerr delivers an eclectic mix of R& B, soul, pop and country, which he heard his father sing and listen to. His musical influences include Luther Vandross, Babyface and other 80’s soul, rap, dance and electro. Currently his favourite album is Trilogy by The Weekend.

“I love the writing lyrics with hidden meanings and I put my soul into every song I write,” says Allen.

Shape Me, Allen Kerr’s first single, will be released on 12 May 2014.
