The Olympia Theatre proudly presents THE CIVIL WARS Live in Dublin on October 29th

**Tickets on sale this Friday**

Ahead of their sold out Academy headline show in March, Grammy award winning act The Civil Wars have announced a return to Dublin on October 29th at the Olympia Theatre.

Tickets €23.50 incl. booking fee are on sale this Friday 2 March from Ticketmaster outlets and online at www.ticketmaster.ie

Joy Williams and John Paul White picked up the awards for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Folk Album awards for "Barton Hollow" and the album of the same name at the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards on February 12th.

The duo travel without a backup band, and on their first full-length album, Barton Hollow, the bare-bones live arrangements that fans hear on the road are fleshed out with just the barest of acoustic accoutrements. Each song is an intimate conversation, and no third wheels or dinner-party chatter are going to interrupt that gorgeous, haunting hush.

Described by many as their breakout song "Poison & Wine" isn't just that. It's also a thematic declara-tion of intent for this utterly complementary odd couple, encapsulating everything suggested in the duo's name when it comes to exploring the conflicts that arise as part of couplehood. Speaking of which: They aren't, that—a couple, that is. But they're far from insulted if you mistake them for An Item in the storied tradition of the Swell Season, Richard and Linda Thompson, or other famous duos whose on-again, off-again relationships offstage complicated their stage relations.

Tickets for The Civil Wars live at The Olympia Theatre on October 29th are on sale this Friday.
