Melanie C wouldn't rule out expanding her family

Former Spice Girl Melanie C has said she will not have any more children "for a couple of years" as she wants to focus her attention on the promotion of her upcoming album, 'The Sea'.

The 37-year-old singer has openly said that she would love for her two-year-old daughter to have a brother or sister, but now is just not the right time.

Melanie explained "I'd love for Scarlet to have a sibling but it won't be for a while because I'm hoping this record will keep me busy for a couple of years."

She has admittedly relied on social media outlets to keep in touch with her family whilst she is away working, notably Skype, and added:

"There have been times when I've been away for a week and it felt like an eternity. God bless the person who invented Skype. There's something wonderful about seeing Scarlet's cheeky face. It's not the same as having a cuddle but it gives me the fix to get through the day."

Melanie has confirmed that she and her partner, Thomas, are happy in their relationship but neither of them have intentions of tying the knot in the immediate future.

She commented, "Honestly, we're not planning to get married. We've got a child and a home together, and for us right now, that's enough."
