Songstress Melanie C has admitted that while she could never leave her native Britain on a permanent basis, she would love to travel around America on an 'extended road trip'.

Speaking about her love of international travel, the Spice Girls beauty explained that she wouldn't like to move to America but definitely wants to spend a long period of time there driving around with friends at some point in the future:

"One day I would like to take an extended road trip around the States but I don't think I would ever actually want to live there. I am a British girl through and through and as much as I love to travel I am always pleased to come home."

When asked if she has any favourite stateside locations, Mel C confessed that San Francisco is one of the 'coolest' places she has ever visited: "Being in New York is still a thrill as I always feel like I am on a film set. Chicago and Washington DC are incredible too. I love California: Los Angeles is so sunny and stylish and San Francisco has to be the coolest place on earth."
