Miley Cyrus teases details about her "educational" Bangerz tour

Miley Cyrus has been discussing details of her upcoming Bangerz world tour.

Speaking to MTV Miley said: “'I hope people open their minds and they look at my tour as something that I do feel is educational for kids.”

Cyrus explained: “I think a lot of people aren't exposed to art enough and that's something that I had to learn about. It wasn't until I turned 21 that I wanted to learn because I'm from Nashville, that is not something that they care about; they pretty much teach you everything in the world as black and white and I want my fans to walk away knowing more about the art that inspires me.”

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ star revealed that her live show will follow the structure of a play rather than a typical pop concert as there will be acts and intermissions that will be filled by visuals from ‘Ren and Stimpy’ animator John Kricfalusi.

Miley is hoping her live shows will keep up her reputation as a shocking performer as she stated:

“What I wanted is for people to see a show that they would least expect. It is fun for people to walk out and be like 'Oh my god did she just do that?' but there's so much that I do love about shock value, but then I really want there to be that core about the music.”

The 'Adore You' singer also previously revealed that she will be giving away free merchandise at her concerts.

Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz tour commences on February 14 in Vancouver, Canada.
