Miley Cyrus: "My tour is educational for kids"

Miley Cyrus believes her upcoming Bangerz Tour will provide children with an 'education'.

The singer is due to take the jaunt around North America from February 14 before heading to Europe, with UK dates planned for May.

It seems, however, that the tour could apparently be a valuable resource for youths who may not always be exposed to different art forms.

Cyrus told Fuse: "Even though parents probably won't think this, I think my show is educational for kids. They're going to be exposed to art most people don’t know about. People are taught to look at things so black and white, especially in small towns. I'm excited to take this tour to places where [art] like this wouldn’t be accepted, where kids wouldn’t learn about this different kind of art."

The US star meanwhile previously revealed that fans should be able to pick up some collectible items that from the roof of her shows.

Cyrus said: "I want to give [my fans] real things they can collect. I'm a little bit of a hoarder. It's my mom's worst nightmare. [And] I hope my fans become hoarders also [so] I'm giving a lot of junk away [at the shows]...I'll have things falling out of the sky that most people would sell at the merch table."
