Miley Cyrus: 'I'm grateful to Disney for giving me a great start in the industry'

'We Can't Stop' beauty Miley Cyrus has spoken out in support of global giant Disney and praised them for giving her such a solid start as a singer and actress on the small screen.

During a new interview with Elle magazine, the superstar explained that she's thankful to the Mouse for proving her with such a great background as it taught her some valuable lessons about fame and the industry alike:

"You know, I’m really thankful that I started on Disney. I got the most intense training. There’s times where I wish I could have just started as a new artist, but the world has kind of allowed me to do that. I feel really lucky—a lot of kid stars get all crazy or stuck in what they were, so they can’t actually become what they’re meant to be."

The 21-year-old hitmaker, who is currently on her north American Bangerz tour, added that feminism is still something that needs to be addressed in the music world as there's a huge double standard with how men and women behave in light of the issue:

"I still don't think we're there 100 percent. I mean, guy rappers grab their crotch all f**king day and have h** around them, but no one talks about it. But if I grab my crotch and I have hot model b**ches around me, I'm degrading women? I'm a woman—I should be able to have girls around me! But I'm part of the evolution of that. I hope."
