Miley Cyrus gives away new puppy: 'It's too soon'

'We Can't Stop' superstar Miley Cyrus has revealed that her brand new puppy, Moonie, has already been re-homed because she couldn't cope with a new dog so close to the passing of her other dog, Floyd.

Writing on her official Twitter in the early hours of this morning (April 14), Cyrus explained that welcoming a new puppy into her family was an amazing experience, but just too soon after the death of her beloved pooch, Floyd:

"Moonie, thank you for giving me so much love, comfort, & peace. It's just to soon for me right now. #missingmoonie."

When asked by her fans what happened to new pet, Moonie, she admitted that he was re-homed and given to a family friend: "my friends mom who has a tiny pup 4 him 2 play with Molly  After wht happened I'm scared 2 have a tiny dog #moonieandmolly. That's the most important part of loving a puppy. They depend on you."

Earlier this month, Cyrus opened up to Elle magazine about her struggle with depression and confessed it got so bad that her father, Billy Ray, had to physically break down a door to get to her: "I went through a time where I was really depressed. I locked myself in my room and my dad had to break my door down... I had really bad skin, and I felt really bullied because of that. But I never was depressed because of the way someone else made me feel, I just was depressed."
