Miley Cyrus 'happy to be alive' after hospital scare

Miley Cyrus has admitted that she is grateful to still be "alive" after suffering a severe allergic reaction in April.

The singer spent a number of days in hospital after having an adverse reaction to antibiotics, with some of her tour dates postponed as a result.

However, the 'We Can't Stop' star is now back on the road in Europe and she told Capital FM that she feels "lucky to be here" following her hospital visit.

Cyrus said: "I feel really good. Pretty much [OK now], I mean I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I've really focused on what you say is what happens to you.

"I'm just happy to be here, [to] be alive, and now I'm always talking like, 'I"m going to be the healthiest person in the world'."

The singer added: "I hate needles. And the doctor was like, 'Oh you hate needles? Well, you've got tattoos all over your body!'. I'm like, 'It's such a different thing!"

Cyrus was speaking as her slot at this year's Capital FM Summertime Ball at London's Wembley Stadium on June 21 was confirmed.
