Miley Cyrus has announced plans to tour Australia.

The singer will bring her Bangerz Tour to the country in October for a number of shows.

The run will kick off at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on October 10 before heading to Brisbane and Sydney.

Cyrus will then play the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on October 20 before concluding things at the Perth Arena on October 23.

It has been suggested that the gaps in the schedule could allow the US star to add more dates if needed.

The full schedule meanwhile is as follows:

• Oct. 10 - Melbourne, Rod Laver Arena
• Oct. 15 - Brisbane Entertainment Centre
• Oct. 17 – Sydney, Allphones Arena
• Oct. 20 - Adelaide Entertainment Centre
• Oct. 23 – Perth Arena
