A psychic has revealed that Miley Cyrus hired her to speak to her dead dog.

The singer was left devastated in April when her beloved Floyd died after being killed by a coyote.

Melissa Bacelar told The Mirror that she was sought by the US star to speak to the canine from the dead.

She said that this case was especially difficult for the 'Wrecking Ball' star because she was on tour when the tragedy struck.

The medium said: "It was particularly hard as [Miley] wasn't there when Floyd died, so there would have been a huge amount of guilt.

"I connect with the dog telepathically. Some will give me actual words but, most of the time, I will get images and feelings which I pass on to the owner."

Cyrus meanwhile recently got a tattoo inked in honour of Floyd.
