Miley Cyrus: 'It doesn't bother me when people tell me I'm crazy'

Miley Cyrus says she isn't put off when people call her "crazy".

The singer has developed something of a wild-child reputation in the past few years for her on-stage antics and eye-catching visuals.

Speaking on Australia's Sunrise on Sunday (October 12), Cyrus said that she isn't upset when people question her sanity.

The US star added that she always treats people equally and with respect.

Cyrus said: "It really doesn't bother me when people tell me I'm crazy because I am. The thing is my dad always told me the most important thing - and I grew up around people like Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton and those people are not normal.

"There's many girls that I know...who come out...and they will be all polite. But in person they are not so polite. And they are not so kind. I hope, all the time, I have heard, my reputation is a good one. I say hello to everybody and I treat everybody the same."

Cyrus meanwhile is currently in Australia on her Bangerz Tour.
