Miley Cyrus on her worst makeup mishap: "I looked insane"

As the new face of MAC Cosmetics' Viva Glam campaign, Miley Cyrus has been discussing her use of makeup.

Thinking back on a blundered beauty job in the past, the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer revealed that her worst makeup meltdown came when her face powder showed up bright white under the glare of paparazzi camera flashes.

Miley remembered: “I've done the joker, you know where you get the white powder and it looks insane.”

She continued: “It was on the red carpet. I was getting Maxim's hottest whatever of the year and I looked insane.”

22-year-old Cyrus was referring to the Maxim event she attended in May 2013 when the magazine named her the sexiest woman of the year. Unfortunately the white makeup setting powder she applied before walking the red carpet only became visible once she was under the glare of camera flashes.

The ‘Bangerz’ star said: “I got in the car and I wasn't paying attention. I don't know if you've ever done this, but sometimes when you do your makeup, you space out and you're like [in a sing-song voice], 'do-do-do.' And I forgot there was going to be so many cameras.”

Miley Cyrus is the latest face of MAC’s Viva Glam campaign which raises money for AIDS and HIV awareness and treatment funds.
