Miley Cyrus on being judged: 'When I walk in, people give me the worst look you've ever seen'

'Wrecking Ball' sensation Miley Cyrus has likened herself to Julia Roberts' character in 'Pretty Woman' where shopping is concerned because people look down their noses at her when she's out in public.

Speaking to Australia's Style magazine, the songstress confessed that she often feels unwelcome when shopping at high-end boutiques because she doesn't conform to the beauty standards promoted by magazines and the press:

"You've seen 'Pretty Woman', obviously. Well, they are actually like that. If you walk in, they give you the worst look you've ever seen, and I am too outspoken to deal with those kinds of people."

"People like to judge me a lot of the time. I am refusing to be a certain way, or dress a certain way. I do my own makeup because [otherwise] you sit in a chair and then, all of a sudden, you come out and you're not you any more. That freaks me out. I'm a little bit of a control freak, I guess."

Back in January, Cyrus told PopSugar that she won't change how she is in order to fit in with the expectations women are held to: "I think of the formula of what's supposed to be pretty and what a woman is meant to look like, and now I'm older I'm like, 'forget that'! I don't want to be like that."
