Miley Cyrus on youth homelessness: 'We consciously ignore it'

Songstress Miley Cyrus recently launched the Happy Hippie Foundation, which focuses on homelessness, LGBT rights and other "vulnerable" people, and she has revealed that she's fighting for issues that lots of people are ignoring.

Speaking to Good Morning America about the organisation, the 'We Can't Stop' sensation explained that youth homelessness, in particular, is something that's widespread yet mostly avoided and she hopes to change that:

"It’s something that everyone sees. It’s like the birds chirping. We’re consciously ignoring it at all times, but it’s always happening right in front of us.”

The superstar went onto add that it's important to use her fame for something good and this cause is something she feels very passionate about: "Something like being on a reality show or me being on a tour can get you in front of that many impressionable people."
