Miley Cyrus: 'My dream wasn't to sell lip gloss - it is to save the world'

Miley Cyrus says she dreams of "saving the world".

The singer told Marie Claire that she never wanted to enter show business to sell products like make-up.

The US star, who has a lipstick line with MAC Cosmetics, said:

"I'm probably never going to be the face of a traditional beauty company unless they want a weed-smoking, liberal-ass freak.

"But my dream was never to sell lip gloss. My dream is to save the world."

In the same interview, Cyrus said that she felt working on Disney TV series Hannah Montana as a young teen gave her body dysmorphia.

The singer said: "I was made to look like someone that I wasn't, which probably caused some body dysmorphia because I had been made pretty every day for so long, and then when I wasn't on that show, it was like, 'Who the f*** am I?'."
