Miley Cyrus has denied speculation that she is engaged to boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

Gossip began to spread after the singer posted a photo of her hand on Twitter - a hand sporting a shiny ring.

The tweet was about "nail foundations" but some eager onlookers seemingly decided that it was an engagement ring.

However, Cyrus took to Twitter again yesterday (March 26) to dispel the theories. She said:

"I'm not engaged. I've worn this same ring on this finger since November! People just wanna find something to tal about! It's a topaz people!"
