Miley Cyrus on creativity: 'It doesn't happen based on a deadline'

Singer and actress Miley Cyrus may have recently said that her forthcoming new album is her current priority, but she has admitted that inspiration doesn't come at the setting of a deadline.

Earlier this month, the 'Can't Be Tamed' hitmaker explained that she has put her wedding plans to one side for the moment so she can focus on her new record:

"My most important thing right now is ... I want people to hear what I want to say and get my record out, so when there is a time that I can take some time off, I'll feel like I accomplished my stuff. Then I can take a break and just enjoy being married for a little while."

But she took to Twitter this afternoon (November 29) to tell her fans that the writing and recording process will simply take as long as it takes because she can't force creativity:

"Folks! When you write your music and your creating it doesn't happen over night or on a deadline."

"You write til your heart is empty then you live your life til you have stories to tell again and then you make ANOTHER record #gloriouscycle"
