Miley Cyrus backs Justin Bieber over paparazzi accident

Miley Cyrus has joined Justin Bieber in calling for a change in law regarding photographers and celebrities.

As previously reported, a photographer was hit by a vehicle and killed on Tuesday (January 1) after taking snaps of Bieber's white Ferrari.

The Canadian wasn't in the car at the time or involved in the incident but he issued a statement calling for new laws to protect photographers and celebrities.

Miley Cyrus backed Bieber's statement and took to Twitter to decry the situation. She said:

"Hope this paparazzi/JB accident brings on some changes in '13 Paparazzi are dangerous! Wasn't Princess Di enough of a wake up call?!"

The star continued: "It is unfair for anyone to put this on to Justin's conscious as well! This was bound to happen! Your mom teaches u when your a child not to play in the street! The chaos that comes with the paparazzi acting like fools makes it impossible for anyone to make safe choices."

TMZ meanwhile have reported that the photographer killed was Chris Guerra, who was in his late twenties.
