Miley Cyrus: "Jay Z shout out is dope"

Songstress Miley Cyrus thinks it's "dope" she got a shout-out on Jay Z's new track.

On the superstar rapper's song 'Somewhere In Americ'a from new album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' the rap mogul references the sexy bottom-shaking “twerk” dance Cyrus has become associated with over the past few months.

He raps: “I’m still putting work in, ’cause somewhere in America Miley Cyrus is still twerkin’.”

Cyrus has laughed off the shout-out in an interview with British newspaper The Sun, claiming: “It’s dope, he’s supportive. I think he understands where I am because anyone, even Beyoncé, had to go through a transition to grow up. People understand that.

“I shouted him out on my song Party In The USA — so he copied me.”

Cyrus released the video for newest song 'We Can't Stop' a few weeks ago, which was helmed by Brooklyn-based director Diane Martel.

The international singer insists she had control of the controversial promo, despite been thrown ideas from all angles.

She explained: “With the video everybody had a thousand ideas about who should direct it and I already knew who my director would be.

“I had given the concept to her and said she couldn’t show my label. We’d bought the props so there was nothing they could do, it was already done.”

She added: “Actions speak louder than words. I have nothing to prove.”
