Miley Cyrus' 'We Can't Stop' breaks VEVO record

Miley Cyrus' latest video has broken a VEVO record only days after famously losing one.

The singer released provocative clip 'We Can't Stop' in June and it instantly gained the VEVO record for the most amount of plays in its first 24 hours.

One Direction's 'Best Song Ever' soon after usurped that feat by snapping up 12.3m views in its first day online.

'We Can't Stop', however, has now become the quickest video to reach VEVO Certified status, meaning that it has broken the 100m views barrier.

It took only 37 days to reach the milestone, beating Eminem and Rihanna's previous record of 39 days for their video 'Love The Way You Lie'.

Keeping to her word, Cyrus has since uploaded a director's cut of 'We Can't Stop' after it hit 100m hits.
