Miley Cyrus hits No.1 on iTunes with 'Wrecking Ball'

Songstress Miley Cyrus shared a new track from her upcoming new record earlier today and it has already shot to No.1 on iTunes in the USA since being released this morning (August 25).

She made the song available several hours ago, but it has now rocketed to the top spot on the U.S. iTunes 'Top Songs' chart (pictured below). Cyrus posted a message to her Twitter page and told her fans that she is so grateful for their support with her new music:

"Today's already the f**king best day ever! Just wait till VMAs tonight. #wreckingball #1 on iTunes! Hell yaaaaaaaa ❤❤❤"

Singer-songwriter MoZella co-wrote the song and took to her official Twitter page to congratulate the former Disney beauty on its success: "#WreckingBall by @MileyCyrus is #1 on iTunes. What an amazing feeling. I am so proud and blessed to have co-written this song."

Cyrus's mother, Tish, also joined in the online praise and wrote: "Wrecking Ball could be my favorite song EVER!!! Ive been listening to it for months on end and I NEVER get tired of it! Blows me away."

The 'We Can't Stop' superstar will take the stage at tonight's MTV VMAs live from Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
