Miley Cyrus has admitted that she feels that she is "messed up."

The 'We Can’t Stop' singer opened up to the Sunday People newspaper by saying:

"I'm messed up... I have so many f***ing issues. I am so f***ed up - everyone does dumb stuff when they are messed up."

She also explained that she finds it difficult taking time off from work: "I don't have a normal life. I take a hiatus every now and again but I'm not good at that."

Cyrus also discussed the issues she had as a child star when playing the Disney character Hannah Montana:

"During 'Hannah Montana' I think people knew I was acting. I've never been able to hide anything, a bit like Justin Bieber."

The 20-year-old star concluded: "Others who have been on kids' shows try to act like their characters - but I'm not like that."

Miley Cyrus also recently revealed that she doesn't mind negative criticism because it results in more publicity which benefits her career.
